Bookmakers dislike Placepot bets. They have to accept them because of the very competitive nature of bookmaking today. There is a very good reason for the bookies fear of the Placepot. They can't set the odds. They have to pay out winners at the level of returns set by the Tote.
The Tote Placepot is without doubt one of the best bets in gambling. Quite often the level of returns in relation to the stake placed is completely out of proportion to the level of chance of the bet being successful. In other words, the odds are not in the bookmaker's favour.

To win the Placepot you have to select a horse to be placed in each of the first six races at a meeting. You can nominate more than one horse in each race creating 'perms'. It is this permutation strategy that makes the Placepot such a good bet. In the Placepot up to four horses can be placed in a race, so if you have more than one selection in each race, you could find more than one horse being placed. Hence a perm can easily produce multiple winning lines.
To enable everyone to take advantage of this, and to help you achieve big returns for comparatively small stakes, the author of the system created a methodical approach to placing daily Placepot bets.
